Wanna' Try Something Just for Fun??

If you're ever bored and have a lot of time on your hands, try this for fun. Take a batch of laundry and put it in the wash. Add your soap just like normal and then take 2 or 3 colored markers, remove the lids, and throw them in the wash. When done washing, remove clothing and markers and put in the dryer. Turn it on and take a break. When the dryer is done, remove the clothing. After removing the dry clothes you will find a beautiful (depending on the color of markers you used) design left inside your dryer. There will be beautiful swirls of colors inside the drum and lots of pretty scribbles near the lint tray. Now comes the fun part. Take your basket of freshly "clean" clothes and find a nice comfy chair...oh...don't forget to grab the Spray-n-Wash. Now you get to search for all of the amazing designs that were left all over the clothes, mostly it will make interesting polk-a-dots. Grab that Spray-n-Wash and have yourself a little squirt and scrub party!! When you're all done, repeat the wash and dry, but this time leave out the markers...and don't forget to PRAY that the colors come out!
Needless to say this was how I spent part of my afternoon. However I did it not knowing that the markers had sneaked their way into the wash.
Don't you just Love laundry with little kids?

Kami & Aadynn...the Musical

This is my niece Aadynn and Kami passing time on the road trip. You might not be able to understand everything, but they cracked me up!

A Quick Trip to Utah

hThis last weekend I took a very last minute, quick trip to Utah with my brother Kevin, sister Jenny & Aadynn, & Kami & Kensely. I need to tell you about it in two parts.

PART I:
The Drive
The ride down was wonderful and quick (11 hrs.) I got sick about the time we hit Utah. My girls got sick in the early morning. We just kind of rested all that day. Saturday night my sister, sister-in-law, nephew & neice all got sick. We refer to it as the Barf-Fest. Sorry, but it was bad, I won't even go into. Deb...here is your semi-public award for having some of the worst vomit clean-up stories that I have ever heard and or witnessed. Amazing. Luckily we made it home with out any thing coming back up, on the car ride home -if you know what I mean.- However, the bug didn't stop there, another niece of mine got it (I'm so sorry Erica!) & Trishelle's baby Evie. (again...real sorry) But it was so good to see my brother and his family again. You guys are awesome! And I got to see Trishelle for too short of a time. But it was fun and wonderful and too short!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!

Part II:
The reason for the trip
We went down for my Dads baptism. I cannot find the words to describe how strong the spirit was that day. It was incredible. There was a small group of us, mostly family. It was very clear to me just how much we all need the atonement, and that the atonement is for everyone. I am so pleased/proud of my Dad who traveled a hard road and never questioned his testimony. What a good example you are to me and my family. Thanks Dad! I love you!!

Finally, a real picture of the Hair!

The things kids say

The other day my brother Kevin and Alyssa were at my house, trying to install a satellite dish. Alyssa was upstairs playing with Kami and talking to me when Kevin came upstairs and asked if he could borrow a shovel. I asked "Why? Did you poop? Did you bring Gus (their dog)?" Kevin then explained that he didn't poop or bring Gus. He actually needs the shovel to bury the pole into the ground that is holding the satellite dish. I sayed "OK" and off he went. Then Kami asked Alyssa... "Does he always do that?" ... Do what?... "Does Kevin always poop outside?"
