Kylie was practicing her talents.

Money...isn't it about Tithes?

I know that my Father in Heaven loves me and that he knows our needs and listens to our prayers. This month has been an extremely hard month financially for us. The economy is a little more than we can bare at times. I was having a hard time trying to figure out how we were going to make it through the end of the month and still eat. There was nothing I could really think to do except go to my room and fall on my knees. I did that and I poured my heart out to Heavenly Father. Knowing that we still needed to pay tithing for the month but didn't have the money to spare I let him know that of course we would pay it at the same time pleading for help to make ends meet. I didn't go to my mailbox and find a random check. However, my vinyl business seems to get busier and busier everyday, and some of it is very random. For example...My husband sent me an email the other day, I wanted to forward it to my friends and noticed he sent it to my business email as well. That's weird, I thought. Why would he send it there? And then I realized I hadn't checked my business email for probably 2 months (because no one ever uses it. They just call us) Anyway, I checked it and a month previous, and old client wanted some work done on their car. I called her up and met up with her. Awesome right? Well while we were measuring her car and looking at colors, the guy who owns the auto body shop next door came to get some coffee (it was a coffee shop I was doing work for) Anyway, one thing lead to another and next thing I know I was bidding a job for him and got it. Right place, right time. The business just keeps growing and the timing is impeccable. I know Heavenly Father listens. I know he cares. I know that he will keep his promises if we keep ours and I love Him so much.
(some of this stuff is more for our family journal, so thanks for enduring)

Grandparents Camp

Chris' Parents started a Grandparents Camp last summer, where they take all the grandchildren for a couple of days and nights and do fun things with them. This year they extend it to 6 days and five nights and invited 3 other families. I think total there were 18 kids. They had there hands full. My kids had a blast. When they arrived they constructed a huge castle out of cardboard boxes.(Trishelle I thought about your childrens book you are writing) It was awesome when they were through. As soon as I get pictures of them, I will post them. Grandpa made them metal shields of FAITH and taught them about the armor of God. They turned out so cute. I taught an exercise "class" were we played catch while hoola hooping, did tandum hop-scotch, played "knock the other teams cones over, and ended with the huge parachutte, which is always a hit. They had campfire every night and we learned that Kylie enjoys doing Stand Up, even if it is reading all the jokes out of a book. Grandma did awesome with the food. Jen was amazing with her crafts and there was so much I more I didn't get to see that my kids talked about and loved. Thanks Grandma & Grandpa for your Love and Energy (even when the energy was scarce).

This was a skit the adults did one night. I don't know what it's called, but I was milking a cow here.

What a Busy Summer!

I love summer. And though this has been a crazy summer (for not feeling like we had a lot of things planned) I savor in the moments. It's the little things in life that make the biggest difference. Like trying to cool off in the heat with my girls in the little pool. I LOVE MY GIRLS! Or watching my baby splash in the bath tub and flash her two little teeth at me. I know that they grow all too fast and that these busy times will be replaced with different busy times. But I love these moments, these moments that make the whining and the messes and waking up to the sound of someone throwing up in your bed first thing in the morning, ALL WORTH IT!

9 months olds and already sending her salutations!

Fun on the Fourth!!

Okay, Let me explain...
Every year we have a 4th of July Olympics at the Giacolones. (parents of Sara Budge). This year we moved it up to my Moms in Battleground. Our Olympics are full of games. This year we just picked a couple of the faves and left it at that. The fave would have to be the doughnut eating contest. This year had to be the topper. You need to look very carefully at the picture of my brother Kevin uptop, then you can read on. We had just finished our BBQ when we decided to start the all time favorite...Famous...Doughnut Eating Contest. We changed up the rules just a little bit. Since my Husband and Kevin are always going back and forth between 1st place year after year, we gave them a little added bonus. We had way too many bratwursts left over so...as you can see, we made Chris & Kevin eat and Bratwurst AND a doughnut before they could claim 1st place. Disgusting I know, but they did it. Chris never even started the Bratwurst. Kevin however...
So here's Kirk, working really hard. It came down to the last swallow. Kirk wins by a Bratwurst!
I think Kevin was ready to give us a little more than just a photo finish, if you know what I mean.

Kensley was having her own little race. And no I didn't let her eat the whole doughnut. This was a far as she got and I had to pull it out of her mouth. She would have choked for sure!
