RANDOM

I was in the gym parking lot getting ready to leave when a man walked past my car. Here is how the conversation went inside my car:

Kensley: DADDY! DADDY!

Kami: Mom, why did Kensley call that man Daddy? He's not her Daddy.

Mom: Sometimes Kensley calls random men her Daddy.

Kami: His name is RANDOM? That's weird.

Mom: No his name is not Random, sometimes she calls lot's of random men her Daddy.

SILENCE......

Kami: OOHHH...I get it! She calls people who's name is Random Daddy!

Mom: nevermind.

Ever Wonder Why?

I have been a Mother now for almost 10 years. Throughout these ten years, there are times when I don't feel like I get enough accomplished during the days. I seem to be tired a good percent of the time. I could spend most of the day cleaning my house, and still never feel like it's clean. My friend posted this on facebook. This put into words very well why we as Mothers are so TIRED amongst other things.
This is an early Mothers Day Present to all my FAVORITE Mothers out there!
PLEASE READ!

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I Love Kami Rose!

The other night, Kami woke up about midnight to go potty. Her opening the door woke up Kenlsey. I laid in bed wondering how long I should let Kenlsey cry, when I heard Kami go back into the room. Within a few seconds the crying had stopped and all I could hear was Kami singing softly, I am a Child of God. SO SWEET!
Then last night after dinner, Kami, who is four, asked if she could do the dishes. I never let an opportunity like that go by, so she climbed on the counter, rinsed every dish clean, and then LOADED the dishwasher...the same way I would! I Love my girls!

Run Run and Fast as You Can...WHAT?

If i put it on my blog, then I'm totally committed...
I am going to do a....... HALF MARATHON!!!!
I realize that I'm slightly insane, given the fact that I have never enjoyed running before! I've been training the last 2 weeks and today for the first time ever...I ran 4 miles consecutively. WooHoo! I feel so good. Anyone want to join us? We are doing the RocknRoll Seattle Marathon/half marathon. It's June so you have plenty of time to train!?! So far Sara and Jen are in for the ride, we'd love to have more!!
I need your encouragement and enthusiasm to help me through! Any words of wisdom, please send it my way!!

***A specially thanks to Sara Budge for finding these CRAZY things for me to do, and Michelle Robinson for already enduring such an adventure that I figure I just might give it a try. You guys are AWESOME!

Blessings come in ALL different shapes and SiZes

This is the full length of the back of the house.
This is how far along the house the water spread.

The Flood of 2008:
What you are mostly looking at, is my garage from the house we JUST moved out of. The house was basically empty, but we still had stuff in the garage, where the ceiling caved. The pipe burst from the floor in the upstairs bathroom. The bedroom floor is soaked all the way down the hall and into the other bedrooms. That's just the first floor. The downstairs bathroom is soaking wet, the ceiling started to give way in the shower (pictures shown below) and the rest of the ceiling is very heavy and could give in at any moment. The water from this bathroom leaked into the family room downstairs ruining the carpet there as well. The worst ceiling damage was in the garage. We don't know how long the water was spraying for. Possibly 3 to 7 days! Yikes!! I still need to take pictures of the floor boards after we ripped off the carpet. It's not pretty. I would say that a good 2/3 of the house needs to be replaced. WONDERFUL!
Now why would I title this...Blessings come in ALL different shapes and SIZES? Well, the best way I know how to get through hard times, is to find those little or BIG blessings. As I started counting (while trying to clean up the mess) I was amazed at how many blessings I could count from this "experience".
The best was obviously, no one got hurt.
Next, we aren't living there.
And the one that put a smile on my face........Insurance!
Now, there are MANY more blessings that are wonderful from this, but I won't list them. I do, however, thank my Heavenly Father for them all...over and over again. I'm still in shock of it all.
