Chris was called as a High Councilman today. I'm anxious to see if he'll be more busy, less busy, or the same. I think it will be different busy. He is such a good man and I know he'll do a wonderful job. I LOVE YOU BABE! (sorry the picture is rough...my daughter took it)
Chris baptized our second daughter, Cassidy, yesterday. She looked so beautiful and I could feel the beauty beaming from the inside of her even more. I'm so proud of her for making this important decision in her life. She has always had such a sweet spirit and caring heart. It's strange and a little overwhelming to know that I have 2 children at the age of accountability now. They are such strong women though, and I know that they are already touching the lives of others...especially my life. How blessed I am to have such blessings in my life. They make me want to be a better woman:)
Sterling... this was taken on Friday evening... Saturday morning... Saturday night... and Sunday night. I am amazed at how well it's healed in the last two days. What do you think?
(these pictures are more for the family journal and progression of the wound's sake than anything else. Feel free to skip them) These pictures were taken Sunday...4 days after the accident. And these were taken tonight...7 days later. This is how she holds her hand when not wrapped up. I think this angle is interesting because you can see the scoop filed out of the side of her middle and ring finger.
I am first and foremost a mother and wife. I have been blessed with the best husband for me I could have ever asked for. 10 years together and he still gives me foot rubs every day! And I am blessed to be the mother of four beautiful daughters. The irony of the 4 girls bit is that my husband comes from a family of 5 boys and I from a family of 6 boys and only 1 awesome sister. So I thought, being a tom-boy myself growing up, that I was destine to be a mother of boys. Ironic, isn't it? I wouldn't have it any other way. Just a few benefits: They don't mind the smell of fingernail polish, we can watch sappy girl movies when ever we want (sorry Chris) no pee on the toilet seat (or do I ever have to worry about them putting the toilet seat down), they always have fashion input and they are always ready to put on a play for me at any given moment. They can share everything and they don't mind playing a little star wars or army men here and there with the boys.I LOVE my girls! And I love all the strange and wonderful things that they teach me.
